Wanting something unique for his wife, he asked me if I would make something for his wife (for a fee, of course). It was something relatively simple he wanted, and I got from him how long he wanted it and which direction he wanted the stitching to go. I used yarn I had on hand (he had a choice of colors). And after the consultation, he asked, "So how much?" I said, "$40." He said, "Great!" So I crafted this thing for his wife, and presented it to him wrapped in tissue paper and a gift bag, so he didn't even have to worry about wrapping it for his wife.

Another co-worker who had been hounding me to make something for her found out I made this scarf for the other co-worker. When she found out he paid $40 for it, she replied,"Oh I can go to Walmart and get a scarf for $5." I replied, "Then go to Walmart. These are one-of-a-kind items you can't get for $5." She never pestered me again to make something for her.Mavenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06159539883712835177noreply@blogger.com
